Hi John, thank you for travelling with us and sharing your feedback. Unfortunately when we contacted Da Bolsa they didn't have availability, as it was a busy period in Porto. When a first choice hotel is not available, we always book a hotel of the same standard and comfort. In Portugal, we work with local transfer companies to move our clients' luggage, as opposed to the hotel. All luggage transfers are booked well in advance but if hotels have seasonal staff, they may not have been briefed on this particular day. We apologise for that but we'd like to reassure you the luggage arrangements were in place well ahead of your trip. We will contact the hotels directly to remind them staff should be briefed. We hope you enjoyed your short break with us and hope to help you plan other future trips. Kindest regards

Dear Jenny, Thankyou for your feedback. Maybe from the point of view of your own systems you feel that you had put luggage arrangements in place, but the reality was we had to make 2 international phone calls to get any assurance that they were in place. It would be inconceivable to expect walkers to leave bags at a hotel which had no knowledge that they were to be picked up. I think there has been a service failure and blaming the hotel ( which may have been fault) is not the way to address customer concerns. I also wonder whether anyone has checked out the hotel to see how it is run and the catering arrangements referred to in my first post. Nevertheless I appreciate your responding.
