Dear Janice, we are disappointed to hear you weren't happy with the accommodation provided for the trip. Unfortunately our Superior Collection is not available along the whole route, since many stops are very small and options are limited. I trust the Customer Care team booked upgrades for you where possible and we hope they met your expectations. Indeed the sections from Lisbon to Porto have more road walking than the rest of the tour, specially when leaving and/or entering big towns and cities. From Porto to Santiago, the trail becomes more 'Camino' like as you say. We hope this helps. I believe the Customer Care team has been in touch directly, please let us know if you need anything else. Dear Julie, thank you so much for travelling with us and for sharing your feedback. We are glad to hear you enjoyed the trail, despite some long walking days. We always try to organise stops for our itineraries as evenly as possible but this will be ultimately dependant on accommodation being available in the area; for instance, many small hamlets and rural areas won't have any hotels/guesthouses nearby which makes stopping overnight simply not viable.
