The conduct/process of sending CDs etc and them being checked was good, but valuing of products was poor 30p a CD for CDs still in very good nick, that were worth at least £3. So I feel the adverts...

12 out of the 17 items we paid you 30p for can be bought for 1p + postage on Amazon. Out of the renaming 5, all were less than £1.17 + delivery, and 4 of those were less than 80p. so In our opinion the offers were fair, considering we cover all postage and don't charge fees, unlike other outlets.

I understand where you're coming from, I was just being honest, I feel your advert can be somewhat misleading. I checked amazon too, and I'm sure some of the CDs were worth more than you say, ie. one's that were relatively new out, but again I understand CDs have little value with downloads available now and I appreciate there was no cost for postage.
I just wanted to try out Magpie and see if it was worth it, otherwise normally I take things to a charity shop, and I was impressed that you do give that option to donate the value to charity. But like I say I was just giving my honest opinion and if people think they can make real money out of it, I feel they're being a little mislead.

Thank you for your reply, we do appreciate your comments. Although our service was set up as to provide people with an easy, hassle free way of offloading their CDs and DVDs. Of course if you sell your items via eBay or Amazon etc you may make a bit more money, but then you have the woes of listing, pricing, describing and posting everything individually, and dealing with the general public - which can sometimes be a bit of a nightmare if things go wrong! To some people, that path just isn't worth it for the extra gain.
Like you have said we do offer to donate the fee to charity, so whether you're feeling generous or you just want to put the icing on a perfect week knowing you've done your bit, don't forget us!

The website promised that it would take 7-10 days to process CD/Dvds and yet it took over three weeks for my transaction. The cheque took another 5 days to come through so disappointed with time...

I posted the cds/dvds on 11/02/11 and the cheque arrived just over four weeks later. The turn around is slow.
They did what they say they will do and its a good way to pass on all the old games and dvds, if you remember to keep the instructions and covers that is!
