Thank you for your feedback - we would advise it may be the mother rat coming back multiple times to take the blocks back to disperse them and feed them to the family in the nesting area. Each block contains enough lethal dosage to kill the rats. We would advise as soon as you stop seeing rodent activity, to remove the bait blocks, as to not unintentionally attract other rodents to the area, as they see the blocks as a food source. Thank you

To help with this issue, we would advise you to use a soft sticky bait, such as jam or peanut butter, so the rodent will need to spend time on the bait pedal licking the food up, therefore putting pressure on the bait pedal, causing it to spring and the mouse getting captured. Using a hard solid bait like cheese, the rodent is able to remove this from the side of the trap, therefore not triggering the mechanism, and not getting trapped. We hope this helps. Thank you
