I am sorry you are not happy with the baby album. This is actually one of our best selling products with raving reviews - I have actually engraved one for myself which I use at home for my sons photographs :)
The frame is laser engraved which produces the clean clear finish which is what you have received. Traditional engraving methods used on this album using a drill produce an inferior finish. The nice thing about this album is that it doubles up as a photo frame so I guess it's likely to be on display at the recipients home.
