Hotel staff were welcoming on arrival. After breakfast closes at 9.30 the clubhouse bar and catering does not open until 11. This is not helpful for people who want a mid-morning drink/lunch before...

Fairways needed a cut and likewise the fringes around the greens.

For our handicaps the course was challenging. Ditches across several fairways and carry distance over water caused us problems!

Really nice hotel in a good location

Absolutely awful course, don’t book to play here, we had 3 temp greens but also the course is going through a major reconstruction. Horrific course in terrible condition.

Have stayed here numerous times as the location is perfect. The rooms and breakfast are okay, much the same as the other hotels in the area

Played here numerous times and it never disappoints. The course is in excellent condition and the facilities are great. Wasn't that busy this year which made a nice change.

La Mer is an outstanding links course, with stunning scenery and fabulous holes. I have played it 7 or 8 times and each time I cannot wait to go back.
