Having reviewed your file, I note that the Defendant was initially not prepared to put forward an offer to settle your claim but that we pursued your claim and issued proceedings on your behalf which then prompted the Defendant to make an offer to settle your claim. I note that you were advised to reject that offer and put forward a counter offer which resulted in you receiving a higher level of compensation than first offered by the Defendant. Having reviewed your file, I note that the value of your claim actually increased after waiting to see how your symptoms settled and undergoing a further medical examination. I note that you accepted the Defendant's first offer to settle your claim and I cannot trace you advising the fee earner that you were unhappy with the outcome of the case or the offer of settlement.
