Hi, I am so sorry that you have had an issue with the cap. This is a new eco version, made in the UK, and we have stringent quality control. To date we have not had any complaints on over 60,000 parts.. If you can drop me a line on D.S@watertogo.international I'll send you a replacement that I have personally checked straight away, Dave , Founder.
