Thanks for your review. We receive regular weekly deliveries from Fulling Mill, and our leaders and tippets are always strictly rotated on the shelf. Popular sizes like these 6-lb and 7-lb would never be on the shelf for longer than a fortnight, and at this time of year when sales are strong, hardly even a week. Furthermore, unlike nylon, fluorocarbon does not deteriorate under UV light. Over the years the diameter to strength ratio has increased, so you get the same breaking strain for a slightly thinner tippet, however thinner tippet sometimes has worse knot strength and is more prone to breaking with wear and tear. If you think there's something wrong with the tippet you've purchased, feel free to send the spools you have had problems with to our team at Winforton for examination. Regards, the Sportfish team.

Thanks for your review. The Sage Ballistic Rod & Reel Case is built with a robust ABS plastic tube to protect your rods and at 1,010 grams we'd argue that's not really that heavy. Inside the rod tube there are 4 graduated, separate partitions for each section of a 4-piece Spey rod, and the padded reel cover is large enough to protect your Spey reel while it is installed on your rod. We wouldn't stock this if we didn't think it was a great piece of quality kit, and it is the only rod and reel case designed specifically for Spey rods.
