all ok, the pack arrived today, after 9 days. anyway, in my opinion, the risky step is using the national Italian Mail Service and not a private company when delivering in Italy. a little bit high...

Thanks for the feedback on the delivery. We do worry about using the mail service in some countries but generally it is much cheaper than using a private company. The delivery charge for your parcel was quite high (£11.95) but unfortunately that is what it actually cost to send it via the Royal Mail Signed For service. We sent it via the Signed For service because it's supposed to be more reliable and quicker - their stated delivery aim is 4 days - so it should have taken less than 9 days in total! The cheapest quote we had from a private company for your parcel was £22.80. Part of the problem is that some of the items you selected were relatively low in value and high in weight, so the delivery charge does then seem disproportionately high.
