Thank you very much for taking time to write this. It sounds a little bit like you may be after a more in depth training course? Our dangerous goods by road courses are designed primarily for shippers of dangerous goods by road. They are designed to be accessible to all, and provide knowledge of the regulations to safely ship dangerous goods. There are no expectations for anyone to have completed any pre-reading or pre-studying. The workbook is designed to be both an aid to training and a useful resource for after the training. Completing the questions before does mean when the trainer asks you to complete exercises or go over contents covered you may have nothing to do. We typically don't complete all exercises since we keep groups small and can then cover what is relevant to you. For example - if no one on the course gets very involved in tankers or placarding containers, then we will spend more time on other areas to keep training relevant and interesting. Regarding model answers, I do take your point, however, most on this course need to learn how to safely ship dangerous goods, for which there are several examples in the workbook. Model answers to questions are not particularly helpful for that. All that being said - if there are any gaps you feel you have in your knowledge or wish to answer any questions, we have up to 4 dangerous goods safety advisers in the office at any one time, and are always happy to answer questions, provide clarification or help support any learning gaps.
