We operate this protocol as part of a broader fraud prevention policy. Sadly the level of incidents of identity theft in financial services continues to rise as advances in technology are being increasingly utilised by sophisticated and organised groups.
At MTF we are committed to stamping out fraud, and whilst we fully understand the inconvenience of having to change solicitors in order to use a firm in your immediate locality, or indeed the difficulties associated with travelling to a meet with a solicitor further afield, we do believe this simple, human contact based approach, helps us to better protect members of the public from having their ID stolen and used to obtain credit.
