Thank you for your feedback. The course is designed to verify your existing knowledge and provide learning and assessment for any gaps identified. The technology in MIST Online will remember which questions you failed and will present you again with the related content again and a different set of questions to confirm your understanding. This process will continue until all questions are answered correctly and the course is complete.

Thank you for your feedback on the OPITO MIST Further course. The Minimum Industry Safety Training (MIST) standard was introduced by the UK Oil and Gas industry and Step Change in Safety to ensure that all personnel have the necessary safety awareness and basic skills training to recognise and avoid risk. The OPITO MIST Further training course is for experienced offshore workers, to renew their MIST certification every four years and retain an awareness of the major accident hazards, workplace hazards and associated controls found on offshore installations.

We can see in our system that the final course module was marked as incomplete, this can be due to a Next button not being selected and resulting in the certificate not being generated. We have fed back to our support team on the slower response time you raised and we are pleased to hear that certificate issue was resolved for you.

Thank you for your feedback on the OPITO MIST Further course and we are sorry that you felt the content was not fully relevant to you. The course is built to the OPITO Minimum Industry Safety Training (MIST) standard, to ensure that all personnel have the necessary safety awareness and basic skills training to recognise and avoid risk. MIST Online is designed for experienced offshore workers and includes a pre-assessment to remove any existing knowledge from the course and reduce the overall duration where appropriate. We will share you observations with OPITO on the course structure at the next opportunity.
