Hi Paul, thank-you for the feedback. We were a little surprised when you left a 1 star review due to the carriage cost to your address in the Highlands of Scotland. Especially given that you contacted us in advance of placing the order to confirm the delivery cost and decided to proceed with the order on this basis. As explained on our call, the majority of the freight we send consists of bulky goods which only a small number of couriers will handle through their networks. Unfortunately, given that these couriers usually have to outsource delivery to certain Highlands postcodes to a third-party local courier, there is a delivery surcharge for such postcodes which we are not able to absorb. As you point out, Royal Mail will ship small parcels for a lower cost, however they will not handle the vast majority of our freight. Therefore, as discussed on our call, it would not be economical from a business point of view for us to pay for a daily Royal Mail parcel collection for small parcels going to the small number of postcodes which fall outside of our standard delivery service. Equally, it would not be economical for us to send a member of staff to the local post office in order to send these parcels - also, I should highlight that at this time we are doing everything we can to mimimise face-to-face contact as recommended by the Government's Coronavirus guidance. Hopefully, this is something that you can appreciate. I'm very sorry that we were not able to provide the delivery service you were looking for, however I can only reiterate that we were upfront about the delivery cost to the Scottish Highlands from the start.
