I am so sorry to hear that you did not like the jewellery you ordered and that you felt our packaging was over the top. You will have received instructions on how to return the jewellery to us free of charge should you wish to do so, and if you do return the jewellery, we will ensure you are refunded very quickly for your purchase.
We are actually working on an opt out for our gift wrap at the moment. Most of our customers love the gift wrap, but for some, we can appreciate that they don't want to receive it. I think you make a good point - these customers should have the option of opting out. We will launch this option as soon as it is tested and working.
I am sorry you felt the jewellery was over-priced. We pride ourselves on offering genuine value and excellent quality. Please remember, every Hot Diamonds jewel is rhodium-plated to prevent it tarnishing over time. Rhodium provides a stunning finish, but is also one of the most expensive precious metals in the world - far more expensive than gold! We like to use it though, as nothing else seems to provide the beautiful finish that rhodium does and we want to do all we can to ensure our jewellery looks great over the years and not just when its first worn. We think it's worth the investment!

We just wanted to explain why we do not take our jewellery out of the protective wrapping when we send it through to you. The reason is, this wrapping is designed to keep the jewellery 100% pristine when it's in transit. We like to know that, when you receive your jewellery it is absolutely perfect and this wrapping gives us the confidence we need.
Having said that, we are sorry that you were not 100% happy with this approach and we understand where you're coming from.
