Hi Lacey, thank you for this great review. Lots of parents try and use the gummee glove early because getting rid of teething pain is incredibly important. Please try the glove without the heart teething ring first so that he can get used to the weight of the glove and this might help him use it earlier. Then add the heart when he has full control. Thank you for leaving a review. Unfortunatley all babies are different sizes and it can be difficult to have a one size fits all but we try. I am sure he will grow into it soon and get the teething pain relief he needs. Also using it at first without the heart teether makes it easier for them to control in those early periods.
