The service engineer was very thorough and made some minor adjustments. He also ensured that I was happy operating the locking mechanism before leaving. I appear to have misunderstood the fitter; the lock operates contrary to what is the norm!

I hate to complain again, but I have just noticed scratches on the paintwork of the sections that surround the internal glass; one of which is very obvious when the sun is on it and another one is about three inches long. At least three strips need replacing - can this be done, please?

The service engineer lifted the bi-fold slightly and screwed down the sill in two places; and now we can feel a draught at the bottom, particularly in the central area.

Last week a site supervisor, Mr. Gibson, called to inspect the bi-fold doors. He was advised that we are far from satisfied with the quality of the product, because apart from all the scratches, incorrect gasket (to exclude draughts) and damage to the internal rubber seals, it now transpires that the sealant used above the frame on the left-hand side (when viewed externally) did not set and has dripped down the frame and on to the sill, thus marking it. He advised that somebody would be contacting us concerning a respray, but we did not pay several thousand pounds for what is rapidly becoming a botched job. We would have expected a replacement frame as the failure of the sealant to set is not our fault, but is something that should be investigated by First Home Improvements internally. A week has now elapsed with no contact from anyone. Your comments?
