Be warned!! This company will keep your deposit and ignore you if you cancel your order. They use the 'hard sell' in the first place and if you cancel your order, as I had to when my wife was taken...

I’m sorry that you feel the response received from First Home Improvements fell below your personal expectations. Your request to cancel this order was received 4 weeks outside of the cooling off period (where there is an opportunity for a customer to cancel without incurring any costs with a full deposit refund). Since that time, you have allowed an on-site survey to be undertaken, the company has incurred costs relating to technical drawings, planning enquiries and building regs submissions. First Home Improvements has sought to recover these incurred costs as per our terms and conditions (levied 25% of the order price). The company does sympathise with your personal situation, but on this occasion the company believes its response has been both appropriate and reasonable.
