We take huge pride in our hand-carved and painted characters, and on the rare occasion we offer them at a reduced price - they are 100% the same quality as everything else we sell. It wouldn't be an ex-display model either, as all items sold online are brand new. The colours are always going to be slightly different from character-to-character, based on the fact each one is made individually. But, you're right - there should be a close match nonetheless. This sounds like on this occasion, one of our rare defective characters has slipped through, or at least - one that doesn't meet your expectations. We're committed to doing all we can to give every single one of our customers a 5-star positive experience every single time. With that in mind, if you've not done so already, please get in touch with the team via orders@dcuk.com when you get a chance. We'll be more than happy to replace your sorry-looking baby penguin with a more suitable version. And if we can't, we can maybe sort out something else.
