unfortunately for cancellation claims the event has to be unforeseen. If the ash cloud had started erupting and it was in the news then it is no longer deemed unforeseen. If you genuinely believe you were unaware of the ash cloud at the time you could have your claim reviewed and submit any further information that you believe may help your claim and our Customer Relations team can definitely review it. We do post advice on our websites and social media channels as soon as we can to try and make this as clear as possible for our customers.
