Thanks for your comments about our site at Langdale. We're so glad you liked it. We've passed your feedback about the booking system back to the people responsible for it to see whether anything can be done. I think one of the issues is that we tend to slightly over-supply larger pitches during busy times because, when we are starting to run out of pitches, a small tent can still book on a larger pitch whereas the opposite is not the case even though there may actually enough room for a large tent (eg if there was 3-4 smalls spaces still available but no large pitches left on the system). However, I appreciate that this can then feel unfair as, once on site, you're not really getting a large pitch as it is all just notional space (at Langdale at least - some of our sites like Low Wray still have fixed pitches where this issue does not arise). The system is not clever enough to flex the available capacity between the various different pitch types, which would resolve this issue. There may be no perfect solution but we will give it some thought. Thanks for raising it.
