We loved this campsite and will return. All of the staff were so helpful, we loved being able to grab a coffee and croissant before heading of for the day and the location was perfect for exploring.

Good morning
Thanks for taking the time to give us your feedback for our site at Great Langdale.
I'm sorry to hear you didn't enjoy your stay. We do try to keep our sites quiet and the vast majority of campers are respectful and considerate of this. But it can be difficult when there are a lot of children on site and especially since it was very warm and at mid-summer when the sunsets are very late.
For future reference, while there are no night patrols there is an emergency out of hours contact button located to the right of the shop/reception door and a member of staff is always on standby to deal with any incidents on site.
The ban on BBQs and fires was imposed on us when the fire service raised the risk of wildfire in the area to "severe" after the prolonged dry and hot spell. This rule only lasted for around 5 days until the weather broke. I'm sorry it impacted on your enjoyment of your stay.
