As previously this was straight forward and efficient

The Explore team offered options on flights and organised earlier flights and accommodation which enabled us to enjoy the first day of the tour without joining it straight after an overnight flight.

As above - good, but a few things missing.

We travel with Explore at least once a year and value: - their off the beaten track approach - knowing where to go, stay, eat etc without the need to do tons of research ourselves - a safety net in...

This situation is extremely rare and was sadly unbeknown to Explore until your arrival on tour, we're confident however that the alternative property was the best available option to us under the circumstances, and that we -in conjunction with your Explore leader ensured there was minimal inconvenience to those affected.
