Dear Stephen, our email reply did advise that we would check with the supplier / hotel and come back to you once we had answer although as far we were concerned the reservation was made and accepted. It is often the case that a hotel has no record since the supplier has a block of rooms allocated to them to fill and the hotel does not have specific names against them until nearer travel.
We are sorry that the timescales for coming back to you have been longer than you expected and will highlight your emails for attention.

I've given you an extra 2 stars as you bothered to reply.
Your email reply saying you would look into it was 15 days ago and you have not bothered to to reply to subsequent emails.
The hotel still could not find my reservation today when I rang so obviously I was getting a little concerned, especially when I read reviews from other travellers saying they turned up at hotels to find you haven't paid. I've since managed to to speak to someone in your office who gave me a new reservation number (he was a bit ****** with me saying that I already had this number, I didn't) and I have now confirmed with Sandals that I have a reservation. Proper communication from you in the first place would have left me a happy customer and not forced in to leaving poor reviews.
The answerphone message saying you have closed your customer service line is pretty poor too. I could understand it during the height of the pandemic with staff furloughed or working from home, or if you were busy last year dealing with cancelled or rescheduled holidays, but now were coming out of the other side and getting back to normal it just seems like a penny pinching exercise at the expense of customer service.
It seems I am not alone with my experience of Destination2 and wish I had read the google reviews before booking as there were a number of companies offering the same holiday. You advertise yourselves as a premium travel agent selling luxury holidays but your communication and aftersales are anything but which is a shame because a little more effort on your part could've avoided mine and many other complaints completely. You may feel like a few poor reviews don't matter but a business lives or dies by its reputation, ask Gerald Ratner.

Stephen you are absolutely right, we have failed you in our customer service communication. This team will send you new paperwork with the reference that the hotel has now confimed and we apologise for the delay and any poor tone in the call you had. It is regrettable that we have to keep our line closed in order to deal with the volume of email enquiries. More unfortunately it is due to the repercussions of the pandemic having affected staff levels which continue as isolations are still required. We do however appreciate and thank you for your comments and will address all internally.
