My daughter's 12 and has been getting the Phoenix weekly for about the past 4 years and she loves it - has a huge pile of back issues now, and is frequently browsing through them.

An excellent comic that appeals to a range of ages
Great fun with a wonderful selection of comics, stories and puzzles. My kids fight over who gets to read it first.
