Service ok, product was supposed to arrive on the Tue - it came on the wed. Was not really an issue, more annoyed about the quality of the product itself.

We are sorry your item was delivered late, UPS struggled to get this to you in Scotland.
Delivery arrangements were a nightmare involving taking the whole day off work with no idea when it might arrive. I even phoned the BBQ store to get a better idea of timings and got nowhere. Rubbish.

We are very sorry you were not happy with the delivery, we have looked into this and it seems the courier system went down at that time and no-one could track their orders, this is extremely unusual and a 'one off incident' we could not give you any more information because the courier system went down our side as well which was explained to you. We tried to call the courier company but they could not get hold of the driver. when you order on-line no matter which company you use, items are sent out by couriers, couriers cannot guarantee delivery times unless customers pay the extra fee which is quite expensive.
requested delivery date was 14th June you received the BBQ on 14th June

In response to the supplier reponse to the delivery issue. The system appeared to be down from the moment we purchased all the way through to actual delivery.
"we could not give you any more information because the courier system went down our side as well which was explained to you" - untrue, it was never mentioned.
"We tried to call the courier company but they could not get hold of the driver" - no attempt was made, I was simply told they couldn't (or wouldn't) make contact.
"when you order on-line no matter which company you use, items are sent out by couriers, couriers cannot guarantee delivery times unless customers pay the extra fee which is quite expensive" - so is potentially a day off work so perhaps you should offer this? Most deliveries give a reasonable 'window' of delivery. 10 hours is ridiculous!

In reply to your questions, there was not problems when you purchased from us none of our systems were down.
Ordered on 12/06/2012 @16.35 after the cut off time to be processed that day

Our systems were working correctly the only system that was down that day was the courier system.
Other customers called that day because the system was down and the courier company had previously tried to get hold of the driver.
With regards to The 10 hour window, we feel £80.00 delivery prices for timed delivery is too much for customers to pay, this is why we do not offer this, it does state in our Terms & conditions (which you ticked to say you read and agreed) that we cannot give times for deliveries.
If you are not happy with your BBQ please let us know.

OK so far (apart from the building issues). Cover doesn't seem to fit properly however - is it the right one?
Given the service issues we are crossing our fingers that there are no ongoing issues with the actual product!
WAITED LONG WHILE FOR PHONE TO BE ANSWERED BUT HELPFUL ERROR ON POSTAGE OF BBQ WENT UP AND WOULD NOT GIVE POSTAGE AS STATED ON THE WEB ASKED FOR A FREEBE AS ADVERT WAS MISLEADING NOTHING

With regards to our telephones we do employ staff dedicated to telephone enquiries & orders unfortunately we do not know how many customers will call us on a daily basis, free delivery is Mon to Fi only and does not include saturday delivery this is an extra option on our site.

Did get a refund no questions asked but still had to wait on the phone on more than one occasion. Polite and helpful when you get through. But postage was not honoured that was advertised on the web site. I am sure that you can buy with confidence from them.
