I’m sorry about the issue you had signing up. We ask for a mobile number as this is required by the energy suppliers we work with in order to process a switch.
We can add a landline number to your account separately and pass it on to your new supplier. We’ve now been in touch to arrange this.

Thankyou for your quick response but I really do think other older users like myself will meet my problem! I do think your procedures need to be a teeny weeny bit more user friendly by the simple expedient of being able to use a landline number or a mobile (or both). I was really stuck trying to understand why I could not complete the initial sign-on procedure.
Having said that, I do look forward to not having to review my energy plans each year. I hadn't, in fact, realised that EDF had made a big increase in my monthly payments a couple of months ago!
