You need a pet screen!
They screens are made to measure but only take a couple of weeks to be delivered. They are always very well packaged.

Hinged back door screen and fixed window
Excellent customer care. Very patient and helpful in advising me how to measure as my back door didn't have any frame - it went straight down to the step. (Low threshold)
