Glad to hear your initial impression of your Winston lights is positive. Enjoy trying them out and if you do decide they are not quite right for you please let us know, as we have other models offering a warmer, softer light which you may like to consider. It was nice to speak with you over the phone to clear up this misunderstanding. As discussed, when you dim your Alex Light, then switch it off at the head, it will return to the same light level when you switch it back on again. However, when turned off at the in-line switch or at the socket it will return at full strength as soon as switched on at the head again.
