We are sorry to learn of your problems via your Feefo comments.
The scales are indeed plug and play and there is no need to purchase test weights with them.
We sell many Ohaus Defender scales and its very rare to have an issue that cant be resolved with a phone call.
Please remember to remove the red transit packing pieces from underneath the weighing plate.
