Sorry to hear of your experience. Our trainers do not specifically cover 'test locations'. They may drive through as part of a route but they work in and around areas and not just one designated test centre location. Please remember, you are not being taught how to drive but how to drive at the required standard of the DVSA. This can be on any roads in the UK. I wish you well with your training and test.

Thank you for the review. We believe that the 10 hours of 1-1 in car tuition is appropriate for PDI's at the Part 2 stage. Hi, Thank you for your review. We’re really sorry to hear you feel like our RED Driving Instructor Training course doesn’t represent value for money. With access to up to 76 hours of in car 1:1 training, this training alone represents value in excess of £3,000 were you to attempt to replicate it with an independent trainer. That’s even before considering the wider value as a result of choosing RED in light of us being the UK’s largest driving instructor training provider. No other provider offers more resources, expertise or state-of-the-art training materials than RED. It sounds like there’s been some confusion regarding the business fees. A recent independent financial review found RED Driving Instructors are working on average 30 hours per week, attaining an average net hourly rate of £32.52 meaning RED Driving Instructors have average gross earnings of £975 per week, which is £32,000 – £33,250 net annualised income after business costs have been deducted (depending on franchise options chosen). This takes into account the weekly fees you describe. We strongly believe in providing real reviews from real trainees. That’s why we have 1,092 Feefo reviews from RED trainees, including yours. Following your enquiry in the autumn of 2022, we note you benefitted from many detailed conversations, emails and other materials (such as a live webinar which you partially attended) provided by our dedicated recruitment team over more than 2 months whilst you considered your options. It is clear from our records, our team went above and beyond to provide you with a fair, open and honest view of the journey to becoming a qualified driving instructor. Having passed Part 2 first time with your RED Accredited expert trainers support, and having passed the first 2 stages with RED quicker than average, you were offered the option of FastTrack training over 5 weeks for Part 3 or alternatively, regional training over a longer period. It was made clear the FastTrack training is a more intensive option which is not suited to all trainee learning styles. It’s important to remember, we reserve the right not to place a trainee driving instructor in car where there may be concerns regarding the standard of tuition a learner may receive. We are not sure precisely what you mean when you say you are ‘afraid you agree with everyone else’. Please be assured, your training remains available to you as originally agreed. Totalling 34 hours of in car 1:1 training as standard, the training fee paid by you represents very good value for money.
