Usually, we do ask for images or a short video to help resolve the issue, rather than returning the item as we find it much more convenient. I am sorry to hear you have difficulty opening the box, however, as explained in our emails this style of trinket box has a stop lock hinge and is meant to be a little stiff when opening.
