Thanks for taking the time to provide your thoughts on your Guided TMB experience, we will pass your comments to the Guide. Sorry however to learn of your disappointment with the 2 Refuge evenings. The trek is advertised as Dormitory accommodation with shared bathroom facilities in the Refuges, however I see we did secure private rooms at both options for you, albeit shared bathrooms. Ensuite rooms are not readily available, space and limited water supply in the remoter locations are outside our control. The Trient evening you mention, is Auberge style accommodation and is advertised as shared facilities and noted on client invoices to manage expectations, again options are extremely limited here. Hi Tom, many thanks for taking the time to feedback to us, it is really helpful to us. As we send the self guided packs out 3 months prior to the start of the season information on trail conditions & alternative transport cannot be 100% correct, at that point in time we can only go off what happened in the previous season. This is why we get out on the trails just prior to the season starting to check conditions and feedback to our clients who arrive from mid June onwards. With regard to the Italian bus system, Arriva finally advertised their summer timetables and new payment rules after we had already started the season. They are always very late in providing this information which is little consolation for those trekking early. We always put up to date information on our News Page and alert clients via a group email so you have the most up to date information. We then update our News Page regularly over the season, this is our main point of reference to all those trekking with us during the summer. Hi Kathy, many thanks for taking the time to leave a review. Glad you had a great trek and enjoyed the accommodation. I hope you had a great biking trip after the TMB. Thanks for your feedback regarding the route cards, this is unusual, they have been originally written by myself and then updated in 2022 by Alex. We recce the route before the season each year to observe trail conditions and make sure there are no changes to the route. Sometimes there are temporary diversions due to forestry work and diversions are in put in place, these are usually self explanatory & easy to navigate. If you can give me more specific information via email I will gladly look into this further. With regard to GPS we do suggest appropriate apps so folk are able to have the route on an electronic devise if this is the preferred method of navigation. This information is given on each route card contained in your self guided pack. We can also provide GPX files on request.
