Thanks for your review Paige, it's great to hear you enjoyed your trekking experience overall. By way of explanation for the evening your mention :- in the remote hamlet of Trient we have just x2 accommodations to choose from, both are Auberges, stand side by side, offer private rooms and dorm beds, but the bathrooms are shared. Our first choice was at full capacity, and to ensure you and your group had a workable itinerary the alternative was secured. All accommodations were listed on your invoice from the start of the booking process, and distributed on a few occasions throughout. Information regarding the accommodation is also given on all documentation available through our online 'manage my booking' system, and printed copies were provided in the detailed Self Guided Pack, distributed 3 months before arrival. On our website we also provide this detail :- "Please note this is a very basic accommodation with shared toilets and showers. There is no accommodation in Trient that offers en-suite facilities”. Alternative accommodation (even paying more), just isn't available here. Kind Regards from the Chamonix Valley,

Hi Paige, thanks for your response & suggestion. I live locally and work as a guide on the Tour du Mont Blanc amongst other routes. Chapieux & Trient are the only locations on the route that accommodation is minimal & basic with shared facilities. Unfortunately there isn't any alternatives within a short bus ride away. Martigny is the nearest biggest town & takes 45 mins by bus on mountain roads. In the opposite direct the next suitable location would be Argentiere where you stay the following evening, this is 1hr 45mins by bus & train from Trient. When tour operators struggle to find accommodation in the more remote locations on the TMB they add in to the itinerary a bus ride out at the end of the day & then back in again the following day. This makes the route disjointed and detracts from the nature of the trek, it isn't something we offer or would organise for our clients.
