Thanks for your feedback and for your time on the phone today.
As discussed, Van Air Europe, which operated flights on behalf of Citywing, lost their route licenses on Friday 24th February 2017 and the company found it difficult to source viable alternative aircraft to fulfil their contracts. Citywing tried to offer a service in the mean time whilst suffering considerable losses but these proved to be commercially unsustainable. Citywing ceased trading on 10th March 2017 and they are currently in the process of putting the company into liquidation. When a liquidator has been appointed, they will advise us, as booking agent, in due course how to attempt to obtain a refund on tickets. Once a liquidator has been appointed and advice on refunds has been published, we will contact you to provide full details.
We would like to emphasise that Manx Flights is part of the Online Regional Travel Group, an independent online travel agency business which is not connected financially with Citywing. As such Manx Flights is not part of the liquidation process and continues to trade normally.
We apologise for the inconvenience and frustration this situation has caused you.
