We are very sorry to hear that your travel director was being a bit pushy when it came to the optional excursions. That behavior is not typical or encouraged. The optional excursions are designed to enhance your overall travel experience but many guests chose to have time on their own instead. Since we do need a minimum number of guests to operate them, we may have to cancel if there are not enough participants. We apologize for the inconvenience. Grand European Travel-Guest Relations
