Hi Heidi, I am very very sorry to hear this. As you explained, our delivery is handled by a 3rd party courier. So these things are not under our direct control, however this is no excuse for the service you received. We will speak with our courier to try ensure this does not happen again. Hi Steve, Thank you for your feedback. Sorry to hear you were disappointed with the soil. At GardenTopsoilDirect we only use natural organic topsoil’s which are then put through our modern screening equipment. Our screened topsoil is put through a 20mm down screen, which means there will be some naturally existing stones in the soil. Whilst stone is soil is not always aesthetically pleasing it is an essential part of the soil structure helping to improve drainage, whilst also keeping the soil open to aid with aeration. The large lumps of soil will most likely be from where the soil has been compressed after being screened in the manufacturing process, possibly from where a loading shovel has loaded a hopper.
