I'm pleased that you found Customer Service A* however take on board your comments about the communication delays, I believe a request was sent to our warehouse from customer service which took a little longer than normal due to this being our peak period and delayed the shipping of your parcel. I'm pleased to hear that you were happy with that the procedure for shipping your parcel was simple and that shipping went smoothly however you were disappointed that the wrapping on your gift was torn requiring an additional wrap once the parcel was received by you. When receiving a parcel we do need to open up all goods so we can check that the contents of the parcel are safe and legal to ship, I know it must have been disappointing for you that the wrapping was torn, although please be assured that we do our very best to open parcels as carefully as possible in these kind of instances. I see that you also mentioned that the outer shipping box was too big for the item inside, within the UK domestic shipping is generally based on the actual weight of the goods rather than the size of the box so we do find that we often receive goods in much larger boxes than necessary. I'm not sure if you are aware that we offer a combine and repack service, this allows customers to request a repack for their goods, on receipt of this request our warehouse team repack the goods as efficiently as possible for shipping to ensure that you get the best price. This service may be useful for you going forward. Hi, Many thanks for your feedback. It is good to hear that you found our service useful although you believe the cost of shipping is too expensive compared to other similar services. Our couriers calculate the cost of shipping on the amount of space the shipment takes up in transit, this is called the volumetric weight. Shipping costs are always calculated in this way unless the actual weight is higher than the volumetric weight, then the actual weight is used to calculate the costs. We believe that we do offer good value for the service we offer, the price not only includes the transit cost but the use of the address, the acceptance, processing, storing and preparation of the goods for dispatch including all the export paperwork required for customs in the UK. We do also offer a combine and repack service where our processors repack your goods as efficiently as possible to ensure that your shipping costs are as cost effective as possible. We do not charge any annual fees for using the address and offer a period of 30 days free storage.
