Thank you for your feedback. I hope to explain the misting up that you have experienced. In actual fact it is good news, but it will definitely benefit from a tiny bit of your attention. Basically by installing Extraglaze you have the equivalent of a mini-greenhouse on your window. The air inside will get quite warm, just like a greenhouse gets warmer than its surroundings. This dries out the wood and other materials in your window frame. This is very good news for your window. Prior to Extraglaze being fitted it probably suffered a regular condensation problem. This dampness is now a thing of the past, preventing rot, black mould, and further paint damage. The life of your window has therefore been extended and will demand far less maintenance. Nevertheless there can be initial misting: the moisture that was in the frame is now in the air, between the new and old glazing. This will condense on the outside glass overnight. This should be removed as follows. The best time to do this is in the warm part of the day when the misting has evaporated. Smaller panels can be done single handed. Large panels are best done with an assistant. Simply take the panel off, dry the glass if necessary and waft the air away from your window i.e. so the damp air is replaced with fresh air. It may be necessary to do this several times, because the window frame is taking its time to dry out. It goes without saying, but here goes: please don't do this just after taking a shower, steam ironing or drying clothes on radiators, etc when the room air is also damp.
