Thanks for your review, it is very much appreciated. Use the small diamond core drills at a speed of 5,000 rpm, with very little pressure and plenty of cold water. They should drill through your petrified wood samples with ease. We recommend our small diamond drill bits for particularly hard minerals so these may be an alternative for you as well.
