System crashed when trying to book, but lady that I spoke on on the phone was excellent and sorting thinks for us.

Pay more attention to details. Do not leave clients waiting a whole day to sort out their problems. It was the MOST stressful day I have encountered. The worst service with just two customer service...

Because of a medical situation which arose literally 48 hours after booking, we have been told that our deposit is forfeit.

We are sorry to hear this and hope that as per our booking terms when making your booking online, you had taken some insurance as is part of the contract. However, we can see that other than losing deposit you also have an option of amending which we hope assists otherwise since we try to help where possible in all situations preventing travel.
