Hi Drinna Thanks for your feedback on our lager subscription scheme. I’m glad you weren’t disappointed with any of the beers and that they were a treat to try. That’s great to hear. I have to confess I’m not aware of the Brewdog lager subscription model, I didn’t even realise they made more than three different varieties of lager, so I can’t really draw a comparison with what we offer. I don’t know what the future of Brewdog will be at present, but they were able to brew on a much bigger scale than the breweries we work with and this would have generated economies of scale. We could never compete with popping to your local Tesco and picking up a 6 pack but we do support British brewing and try to shine a light on the quality vs the price of the product. We also include delivery in the price, which we charge at pretty much cost and when you factor in VAT, the recent introduction of EPR glass tax, the cost of the box and the fact we like to pay our brewers a fair price for their beer, it doesn’t leave a huge amount. I hope this goes some way to explain our pricing.
