Further to the call from Aviva today-the response was based on the agent attempting to minimise the €353 difference in the same Aviva policies-a difference of 41% not "a small discrepancy" as described by the Aviva agent. The agent then blamed An Post, the broker, for the difference in price, citing broker fees etc-again this could not account for such a large difference in price for the same policy. Finally, the agent repeated that An Post and Aviva direct are two different companies-although both policies I was quoted on are underwritten by Aviva, so this makes no difference. I will be following up with the Insurance Federation with the matter,
