Hi Lisa, Thanks for your order and your Review. It's pretty typical during storage for many colored potatoes to lose some color and become somewhat dull. As well, as a protocol to avoid possible transfer of disease Certified Seed Potatoes are not washed with water. So the remaining patina of soil tends to mask the skin color. I'm confidant the labels represent the exact varieties in your sacks. For maximum vigor - which translates to max yield in the garden - we maintain our seed tubers so as to extend their dormancy. Now that you are getting ready to plant, warm the seed tubers up at 70-75oF to get tubers to break dormancy. Once you see sprouts emerging from the eyes you have proof they have broken dormancy and can be planted. Once tubers sprout, it will be easy to tell where the eyes are.
