I appreciate the time you've taken to discuss this over the phone with me - it was evident that your experience of our service was not up to our usual stands, and for that, again, I am very sorry.

As noted, we pride ourselves on delivering a service designed to delight our customers, and hate to hear that we've fallen short of delivering as intended.

I would like to clarify that although our pre-delivery check of this skip was not up to scratch, it would have been no trouble to swap should we have known you were dissatisfied.

I would also like to clarify that the skip was collected on the 5th day of hire as requested, and that no time requests were made at the time of booking. I do, however, recognise that a common sense approach to the collection time would have been more appropriate.

Also, I've passed your comments on to the driver as clearly our communication (via the driver) should have been better in this instance.

I'm delighted that you were happy with our skip hire service overall. But, I'm also very sorry that the appropriate title was not used in the email inviting you to provide feedback.

I would like to assure you that this was not intentional, but simply as a result of the details of your booking being input in the incorrect format. I have informed the person who processed your order of this issue, to help prevent it happening again.

I sincerely hope you might reconsider your 'star rating' in light of this, and hope we can be of service to you again in the future :)
