Bakotu is a perfect choice if you are looking for peace and tranquillity but also be surrounded in wildlife. I am sorry to hear you found there to be a lack of meal options. Bakotu change their menu daily and cook everything to order so this may be why. Thank you for your review and the 5 stars.

Meals at Bakotu are all freshly cooked to order and the menu changes daily, which can contribute to longer wait times for food unfortunately, although it is usually very worth the wait! Sadly mosquitos are everywhere in The Gambia and with the surroundings Bakotu is set it in, it can be very difficult to keep them away. I hope you managed to enjoy other aspects of your stay.

Holiday Beach Club is a budget friendly hotel therefore room standards will not be the same quality as hotels that you pay a higher premium for, however cleanliness should always be maintained.
