We would like to reassure you that these traps do work if Male Adult Moths are in the area. If you're seeing moths flying around then these could be juvenile moths which won't be attracted straight away or female moths that won't be attracted at all, as it's a female pheromones on the trap. When placing traps for best capture rates consider: - Putting them 3-6ft high - Consider darker quieter areas - Keep them out of direct light or draughts - Keep them away from any moth repellents or killer products Another reason you may not be capturing anything at this time depends on where they are within their cycle. Moths tend to do things all at the same time, including pupate. So if they are still in their egg or larvae form then there won’t be any flying around. Another reason may be the time of year. As it's now December moth cycles slow right down and they are more likely to hide away than breed, they need it to be warmer to be active and this also affects their pupation/growth rate. If you're experiencing damage to clothing/carpets this will not change by putting traps out. The moth larvae cause the damage and won't be affected by traps. You would need to use something like our kits to remove them. Any other moth that is female, juvenile or non-targeted like pantry moths, won’t be attracted to these traps! Conditions on where you hang your traps can also greatly affect capture rates. We would recommend when considering placing your traps to: - Place them 3-6ft high - Keep away from any strong air currents within the room - Try to locate them in darker parts of the room - Keep them away from direct lights - Keep them away from any repellents you may have like cedar, lavender or lemongrass We are very confident in our product and have been selling it for many years.
