Typically samples measure 11cm square and in some cases (larger repeat designs) 11cm x 22cm. Samples are primarily intended to show the texture, colour and handle of a fabric. In the case of plains we find that sample cuttings are normally sufficient for clients to make an informed choice. On larger designs or fabrics which have a heavy surface crush/texture, we appreciate that it might not be so easy to decide. That's why we offer a jumbo sample service where for a small charge, customers can order a piece measuring 130cm x 25cm which is enough to show the repeat or full texture of a fabric.
