Thank you for taking the time to leave feed back, am sorry that this product has not lived up to expectations. We chose the Robert Welch range of kitchen accessories as they are renowned for offering products that offer good value and quality and am sorry this item didn't hit the mark for you.
This review request asks me to rate Kitchen Knives' service. Service itself was really good, however the products received were not as good. Either Laguiole have seriously lowered their standards, or...

Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback. We would like to take the opportunity to reply to the very serious and damaging allegation that we are selling "fake" products on our website. It is a common misconception that Laguiole is a brand name. This is not the case: Laguiole is a generic name for the model that originates from the village of Laguiole. The name Laguiole is not protected. This means that everyone may use the name Laguiole. Of course purist would only purchase a Laguiole Knife from Forge de Laguiole as this is the only company producing knives in the village of Laguiole. Since the Laguiole knife is nowadays increasing in popularity, producers from around the globe eagerly make use of the unprotected brand name. The knives you have purchased are from the Supplier Sabatier. These are mass produced to meet a price point. More expensive Laguiole knives are hand-made, shaped and finished. I hope this explains the difference for you more clearly and clear up that these are neither "fake" or "not genuine"

Thank you for your time too, Vickie. I'm extremely glad to hear that you are not selling fake goods. I strongly suggest that you make this point on your website prior to the point of purchase, because I was not AT ALL aware that very poor-quality knives could be branded and sold as "Laguiole". I suspect many could say the same. These knives are most definitely 'mass produced' as you put it, and are poor quality, not remotely comparable to the heavy, solid knives I bought from John Lewis a few years ago. Sadly, JL no longer seem to stock the good quality version of these knives. I will amend my review to say I do not recommend these knives and would definitely not have bought them had I seen them 'in the flesh'. I hope that clarifies my own position further to you and to anyone wrongly expecting quality Laguiole merchandise when they consider these.

In the defence of this product this was £11.99 for 6 knives so just £2 each, so whilst they have not lived up to expectations they are a fair price for the product received.
