Thank you for your feedback about the fact that the robot needs well-delineated lawn edges in order for it to work without perimeter wire installation. We have added to the description of the product on our site to make this clearer.
Robotic mowers are not a quick option - they tend to graze your lawn - keeping it very trim by cutting regularly and often. Once the edges of the lawn are sorted, you should be able to just let it get on with its job until it needs recharging - and then set it off again. We are sure you will enjoy the benefits of using a robotic mower once you get used to it.
